A research group working on water quality data analysis at Penn State University seeks an employee to work with a team on assessing water quality and quantity data in the shale gas development region of the north east. The successful applicant will likely have a bachelors, masters or PhD in one of the following areas: geosciences, water resources, environmental science, geography, etc. The following skills would be useful for the job: knowledge of GIS software, knowledge of geology and geochemistry, database skills, statistical knowledge, hydrology, and programming skills. The candidate must be able to work well in an interdisciplinary team. The job level and salary will be determined relevant to the successful candidate`s experience and qualifications. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with good possibility of renewal. This full-time position will come with full benefits.
